No need for you to keep bees…There are many great ways to help:
- Speak out!
- You can contact your local Council. They are always happy to help!
- Support organic farmers and food producers
- Support pollinator populations near you!
- Get your hands dirty!
- Start a small pollinator garden with local wildflowers.
- Plant a tree: Fruit trees (Prunus, Malus and Pyrus), chestnut, Holly, etc
- Plant Herbs: Lemon balm, Lavender, Fennel, Chamomile, Mint, Rosemary, Salvia, etc
- Maker a paradise garden with: Evergreen clematis, poppies, Nasturtium, Teasel, etc.
- Enhance nesting spots; Bug Hotels!
- Get informed!
- What kinds of pesticides does your school, council, work, family use on its playing fields, streets, gardens?
- Avoid using pesticides
- Invest time!
